Students creating hair and makeup for the Hollywood Motion Picture "Immortally Yours" - 2006
The students at the Aveda Fredric's Institute Cincinnati had the unique opportunity to work on the set of the Hollywood motion picture "Immortally Yours" being filmed in the Cincinnati & Dayton area. Under the direction of AFI instructors Michelle Bertke and Dena VanAggela, the students got a glimse of how to do hair and makeup behind the scenes of a movie and will get to see their work on the big screen.

Testimonials from students that worked on the set of the movie "Immortally Yours".
"The chance to be able to work on a film set was everything I expected and then some. The cast and crew were so welcoming and intriguing.  I couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience. Excitement doesn’t even define the feeling of being behind the scenes and making a contribution to “Immortally Yours”. The adrenaline rush you get when you have 10 minutes to complete someone’s hair and makeup is invigorating.  As they are shooting your simply gaze in awe with such a grasp of accomplishment like “I did her and hair and makeup and it looks amazing.”  But nothing compares to the sincerity of Frederic and Julie Holzberger for letting us be a part of movie making history.  Michelle Bertke and Deanna Palumbo were amazing instructors guiding us along the way and really making you feel like you are a part of the team." --Mervet Shteiwi – Cosmetology

"It was a great experience—inspiring for those of us wanting to do hair & makeup in other outlets to do so outside of a salon setting."
--Hadley McFadden - Cosmetology

"Being on set was so different than I expected. It was an awesome experience. When I watch movies now I kinda watch them differently and see them in a different light. I got to do one of the women vampire hairstyles and that was so awesome to knoe that my friend Krystina and I did someeone's hair for a movie! It was awesome."
--Stephanie Fritts - Cosmetology
