Daniel and Nikki Holzberger collaborated their talents during a recent photo shoot. Daniel is on the Education team as a hairstylist and Nikki is a hair colorist at the Van Michael Salons in Atlanta, GA. They were featured in Salon City as well as Modern Salon as the best brother sister team in Atlanta.


Salon City February|March 2005 - "Daniel, has developed a reputation across the country for his excellent education and styling talents, and Nikki has become a popular colorist. Both currently work for the Van Micheal Salons in Atlanta, Georgia. Daniel Holzberger an alumni of the Aveda Fredric's Institute in Cincinnati is one of 5 finalists in the Avant Garde catagory for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA). Click here to see Daniel's work.

The North American Hairstyling Awards, the most prestigious hairstyling competition in North America, celebrates the artistry and skill of the professional salon industry. A photography-based competition, NAHA accepts entries from licensed professionals in twelve categories. Winners are announced during a star-studded bash—the Academy Awards of the industry!

A NAHA award can be a stylist’s entrée into the upper echelon of the profession. A list of past winners reads like a who’s who of the industry: Scott Cole, Vivienne Mackinder, Dwight Miller, Ruth Roche and many more. Winners will be announced July 16, 2006 at a gala ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) is the pinnacle of hairstyling competitions in North America where the very best stylists and leaders in the world of hair and beauty are acknowledged. Honoring top stylists and professionals across North America, NAHA announces its finalists in twelve categories, including Avant Garde, Contemporary Classic, Haircolor, Makeover, North American Salon Team of the Year and the North American Hairstylist of the Year, the “Academy Award” for styling.

Alumni Sarah Mattingly featured in The Honolulu Avertiser



Thursday, February 17, 2005. Makeup artist Sarah Mattingly said Toyomura's skin is so good that all she needed was a tinted moisturizer set with translucent powder. Mattingly filled in her eyebrows with shadow and a brush for a soft look. She used bronze and violet eye shadows, brown eye liner and mascara. Toyomura's cheeks got lightly tinted with a cream cheek tint. The overall effect? A soft, natural, dewy glow. All the makeup was by Aveda.
