July 2007 - Aveda Fredric's Institute Indianapolis student, Jessica Zehnder was named the North American Student Hairstylist of the Year at Probeauty's NAHA Awards. NAHA is the most prestgiuos of hairstyling competitions in North America where the very best stylists and leaders in the world of hair and beauty are acknowledged.


2007 North American Hairstyling Awards - Finalists announced!



The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) announced its finalists in 12 different catagories and we are proud to announce that Jess Zehnder from the AFI Indianapolis and Mandy Wooten from the AFI Cincinnati are finalists in the Student Hairstylist Catagory.

We are also proud to announce that the Aveda Fredric's Insitute Indianapolis was named one of 5 finalists in the Salon Design catagory.



2006 TSA Beacon Student Program
Out of 700 entries, six students from the Aveda Fredric's Institutes were awarded the opportunity to attend the Professional Beauty Association's Symosium which is valued at $1500 to learn about the business side of the salon spa industry.     Goering Center for Family & Private Business
    Family businesses have a tremendous impact on the nations total economic climate. In fact, they account for more than more than half the total employment, new job creationgs and gross domestic product. The University of Cincinnat's Goering Center for Family and Private Business recognized Aveda Fredric's Corporation as the 2004 Family Business of the Year honoring it's community service.     2004 Natural Talet Scholarship
    For the second year Aveda Fredric's Institute held a Natural Talent Scholarship Constest providing contestants an opportunity to win a full tuition scholarship to the Institute. Applicants submitted a video application of which ten finalists were selected. The day of the event each contestant performed a makeover on their model consisting of hairstyle, make-up, and fashion. A panel of independent judges had a very difficult time selecting the winner, after all points were tallied Michelle Marx of Harrison, Ohio was awarded $11,000 which will be used to attend Aveda Fredric's Insitute in July of 2005. Second place received $3,500, third place received $2,000 and seven finalists received $500 scholarships.




    Better Business Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics and Integrity
    Aveda Fredric's Instiute had been selected as a Torch Award finalist in 2001, 2002 and 2004. The Torch Award recognizes those businesses who excell in marketplace ethics and integrity.     A tradition of Excellence Continues
    Aveda Fredric's Instiute has received The Award of Excellence form the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology every year it has been awarded since opening in 1999. The award is given to the top twenty percent of cosmetology schools based on outstanding performance passing their students at the Ohio State Board examination.
